The importance of routine maintenance is clear to see in this photograph.
A stalled motor caused an overload fault which was not cleared by the respective protection device.
Subsequent investigation attributed complete failure of the motor and associated MCC cubicle to a failed motor overload device thus causing severe overheating and subsequent fire.
The clients critical process was shut down for approx 10 hours due to this failure.
