LS Engineering Services Ltd have just completed upgrade modification work to a Laurence Scott Slendaur TM truck.
The truck was received as a 550KW 3.3kV DOL motor starter with the customer requesting modification of the drive into a Feeder for a 1MVA 3.3kV Transformer.
This workscope therefore involved the supply and installation of uprated cabling, CT’s and fuses together with new vacuum contactor control transfomer, protection relay (in the form of a P&B Feedervision FVD), control components and full control circuit re-design and re-wire.
This Feeder is currently being tested in our workshop prior to despatch to our customer in the south of England where we will then undertake modifcation and re-wire of the housing prior to onsite test and commissioning.
